What is a Credit Ban?
Last updated: 09 June 2022
When a ban is put in place it ‘freezes’ access to your credit report. This means that the Credit Reporting Bodies (CRB’s) are not able to disclose any personal information from your consumer credit report.
A ban on your credit report does not impact your current credit accounts or credit payments, unless you are seeking a new line of, or additional credit. You will still be able to use any credit cards you currently hold and repay any existing loans when the ban is in place.
