You may have received an alert to let you know that new Comprehensive Credit Reporting (CCR) data has been added to your credit file.

CCR or ‘positive reporting’ refers to additional information being held by Credit Reporting Bodies (CRBs) in Australia. These changes allow licensed credit providers to use this comprehensive information in order to make more informed lending decisions.

Citibank is the most recent financial institution to have commenced reporting this information with other major lenders expected to follow suit over the coming months.

Citibank provides credit card services for a number of other brands and financial institutions including:

  • Coles
  • Qantas
  • Virgin Money
  • Suncorp Bank
  • IMB Bank
  • Bank of Queensland

This means that, for example, a Coles branded credit card would appear in your Credit Report Summary as a Citibank account. However, your account number should be the same and other details should be accurate.

As always, if you believe there are incorrect or inaccurate listings on your Credit Report Summary, you should first contact the organisation that provided the incorrect detail and ask them to update it with the CRB.
