Credit Savvy provides credit scores and credit file information from Experian, one of Australia’s official credit reporting bodies (CRBs).
Sometimes, your score may not be quite what you expect it to be. It is worth noting that CRBs currently do not have visibility over your income or assets (including savings accounts, properties, shares, superannuation accounts).
Historically, CRBs in Australia have not had access to your repayment history, account status or credit limits so they haven’t been able to take this into account.
Now the credit landscape is starting to change to focus on rewarding good behaviour like paying your bills on time. With the gradual adoption of Comprehensive Credit Reporting, CRBs will have access to more data, including repayment history, account status and credit limits. However, this will take some time to filter through over the coming years.
